NEWS FLASH !

This week brings good news for foreign students seeking work in France: a government circular which limited opportunities for foreign students to stay and work after graduation will be annulled.

As announced in Le Figaro, one of France's leading newspapers, France's new Minister of Higher Education and Research, Geneviève Fioraso, has promised to annul the Guéant Circular ("Circulaire Guéant") which advised France's prefectures to rigorously investigate applications for work permits by foreign students and to exercise "tight control" over applications for a change in status by foreign students. These constraints greatly limited possibilities for foreign students to work in France after graduation.
